Figure.09 is the eight track on Linkin Park's album Meteora. It features a heavy guitar riff. Mike Shinoda raps the verses, Chester Bennington sings the chorus and the two alternate between each other during the breakdown. The song combined two demos while recording at NRG, "Plaster II" and "Figure.09" are both seen on the red song board in the NRG studio space, as songs worked on in the final process. Parts of both demos were used to create the final song, on the album. The song originally had rapping verses. Singing verses were added but the rap verses were swapped back in at the end of recording.
Figure.09 was a major staple song during Meteora tours in 2003-2004, but has not been played live since. It's last performance by the band was in Sao Paulo, Brazil on September 11, 2004.
